Logo designs for the Tompkins County Office for the Aging identities
True Creative was chosen as the agency to help facilitate brand and identity redesign services for the Tompkins County Office for the Aging.
The new logo design for the Office for the Aging communicates the elements of lifecycle through the visual illustration of seasons, connecting directly to the elements of aging. The design uses warm, friendly, and inviting colors—direct characteristics of the Office for the Aging and the people that work there. The abstract tree illustrates several elements; The concept of a tree communicates long life, the grace and beauty of aging, and providing shelter/safety to those beneath, while the branching design represents choices, decisions, and the different directions that come with long life.
The new visual identity for the Age Friendly Ithaca & Tompkins County coalition features an interwoven ring, symbolizing elements bound together, working together in a uniform way. The circular form represents a cycle of improvement without interruption and with seamless integration while the colors are gentle, neutral, and balanced with one another.
Brand development process to establish brand messaging & graphic standards
True Creative created both a Graphic Standards guide and Brand Messaging Guide for the Tompkins County Office for the Aging. This brand graphic standards guide is the single reference source for all visual brand components of the brand, designed to align with the established brand messaging platform to create a cohesive brand. Included within the visual brand guidelines were a series of poster designs used as examples of how to apply the visual brand to marketing and design applications.
The Brand Messaging guide provides foundation guidelines to which all future marketing messaging must align. It’s a collection of key message statements to anchor and guide brand language across all marketing channels.
Brochure design to provide a convenient, easy method for COFA to market itself.
A well-design informational brochure is a staple for any organization to market itself. It’s a small, economical way to provide more information to advocates and members of the community while educating audiences about other services and resources you provide. True Creative designed a tri-fold brochure for the Tompkins County Office for the Aging to use for all these purposes. Our goal for every marketing application, print or digital, is always to maintain a cohesive brand. We used all elements of the new brand platform to design this tri-fold brochure.
Resource Guide redesign to elevate the brand and provide a higher-quality resource for members of the community
For years, the Tompkins County Office for the Aging resource guides were printed entirely in black and white on brightly colored copy paper in low-quality format on in-house office printers. As part of the ongoing marketing and design services provided to the Tompkins County Office for the Aging, True Creative redesigned and reformatted the resource guides to elevate their level of quality and magnify their brand.
The new resource guides featured stunningly colorful cover designs, high-quality imagery, and a dramatic improvement in overall style and quality. As part of this redesign process, we also revised and improved the consistency and quality of resource contact information throughout all four resource guides.
“We are so excited to reveal our new resource guides and brochures! Thank you, True Creative, for working with us and helping us find our style! Come on in and take a look at our new resources!”

Tradeshow display design for events and engagements
As part of ongoing marketing and design services provided to the Tompkins County Office for the Aging, True Creative designed and managed the print production for a new pull-up banner tradeshow display and custom-designed tablecloth for use at community events, grant opportunities, conventions and more.
The overall designs of the event materials reinforce the elements of the core brand through the use of graphical elements, color, texture, and imagery.
